Effective date: August 31, 2026 · Last updated: September 3, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how On The Mark ("On The Mark," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit onthemk.com (the "Site"), subscribe to our newsletter, download an executive brief, or otherwise contact us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly. When you use the "Start a Conversation" contact option, subscribe to our newsletter, or email us, we may collect your name, email address, organization, job title, and the contents of your message.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting provider logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages visited, for security and site-performance purposes.
- Newsletter and downloads. If you subscribe to receive research and executive briefs, we collect the email address you provide for that purpose. Some free resources, such as the Healthcare Workforce Executive Scorecard, are processed and delivered through Payhip, a third-party e-commerce and digital delivery platform; when you request one of these resources, Payhip collects your email address to deliver the file and, where you consent, may add you to our mailing list. See Payhip’s own privacy policy for details on how it separately handles that information.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account, or government ID data) through this Site.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and schedule conversations about advisory engagements or speaking;
- Send the newsletter and research updates to subscribers who opted in;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
- Monitor and protect the security of the Site; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use the information you provide for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Cookies & Analytics
The Site may use essential cookies required for basic functionality, and may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (for example, which pages are read most often). Analytics data, where used, is viewed in aggregate and is not used to build individual advertising profiles. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site, process transactions, and deliver content (for example, our web hosting provider, our email delivery platform, and Payhip, which processes checkout and delivers select free resources such as the Healthcare Workforce Executive Scorecard), under obligations to protect your data;
- Professional advisors such as accountants or lawyers, where necessary; and
- Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights & Choices
You may:
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link included in every email;
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you; and
- Ask us how your information has been used or shared.
To exercise any of these choices, contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law (for example, the GDPR in the European Union or the CCPA in California); we will honor valid requests consistent with those laws.
Third-Party Links
The Site links to third-party destinations we do not control, including LinkedIn and Payhip, the platform we use to process checkout and deliver certain free resources such as the Healthcare Workforce Executive Scorecard. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
This Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
